Women's Tennis Falls to LSU-S At Home Saturday

Shreveport – The Centenary women's tennis team fell 6-0 at home to LSU-S on Saturday.

The Ladies were back in action for the first time since a home loss against conference foe Texas Lutheran on Feb. 2.

Centenary's duo of sophomore Alyssa Davis (Van Alstyne, Texas) and freshman Susi Wilson (St. Louis, Mo.) lost 8-2 in doubles action to LSU-S' Ali Andersen and Lilly Humphries and freshman Remi Miller and London Todd (Shreveport) fell 8-0 to Maria Perez and Katie Smith.

In singles action, Wilson fell in straight sets (6-2/6-2) to Andersen, Davis also fell in back to back sets by scores of 6-0 to Humphries, and Miller fell to Perez by scores of 6-0 and 6-1.

Todd and Smith battled into a third set with LSU-S' Smith prevailing, 10-5 in the clinching set. Todd took the first set by a score of 6-4 and Smith won set two, 6-2.

The Ladies' next match is at LeTourneau in Longview, Texas on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 10 a.m.
