Women's Tennis Completes Match At LeTourneau

Longview, Texas – The Centenary tennis teams completed a non-conference match against the LeTourneau YellowJackets on Saturday at the Davis Tennis Courts.

The Ladies' duo of sophomore Alyssa Davis (Van Alstyne, Texas) and freshman Susi Wilson (St. Louis, Mo.) defeated LeTourneau's Hannah Moore and Savannah Orton, 8-4, in doubles action. Wilson defeated Moore in three sets in singles action by scores of 6-0, 6-7, and 7-0 and Davis bested Orton, 7-5 and 6-4.

On the men's side, the Gents' duo of junior Corey Nobles (Beaumont, Texas) and junior Nathan Lim (Shreveport) fell in doubles to the YellowJackets' Dale Wallace and Kenny Munoz, 3-5, 2-8. Nobles defeated Wallace in straight sets, 6-2 and 6-4 in singles play and Lim beat Munoz in three sets, 8-3, 4-6, and 10-7.

Gents freshmen Colin Dixon (Keller, Texas) dropped a tough singles match to LT's Samson Segovia, 7-6, 5-7, and 11-13. The YellowJackets' James Langley defeated Centenary senior Max Wamsley (Vicksburg, Miss.) by scores of 1-6 and 4-6.

The Ladies and Gents return to action next Saturday, Feb. 29 as they welcome Howard Payne University to town for a 10 a.m. non-conference match. #GoCentenary #CTheOpportunity
