Track Chat: Feb. 13 Edition

Hello! I am Julianna Malloy, but everyone on the team calls me Jeeja! I am freshman on the track team, but I am not new to track! My events include both hurdles and the shorter sprints such as the 200 meters. This is the first season our team has been able to have a full year of practice in and I am excited to see how far we go!

One of our day ones, Shinaya Branch, has been promising since the start of season coming in with an amazing 400 time and is expected to be even better with all her hard work of keeping us invested in her daily stories and in the pre-season workouts! Lydell Hunter is another short sprinter who has been with us since August who is an absolute demon on the track while keeping us laughing! Some of our fresh faces like Aubrey Salazar, holding it down for our throwers, and Veronica Dougherty, coming in hot from soccer, are valuable additions to our growing team!

Going from a few tough days a week to about every day as the first meet approaches has been nothing short of an adjustment but all of the athletes made quick work of the new workouts Coaches Moses, Grayson, and Vincent keep throwing our way!

We all are so excited to leave it all on the track and represent Centenary this season!
