New Orleans- The Centenary Competitive Cheer team has been selected as Centenary Athletics' "Team of the Week" after three members of the team represented the program at the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl last Saturday at the Caesars Superdome.

Freshman Ezmeriah Gonzalez (Longview, Texas), junior Brittany Lee (Shreveport, La.), and freshman Dalila Ramirez (Austin, Texas) performed along with hundreds of other athletes as part of the Nola Bowl Spirit Day sponsored by Varsity. 

Jacksonville State University  defeated the University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns in overtime, 34-31, in a nationally-televised game on ESPN. The trio of Ladies attended a pregame clinic before taking the field to perform at the first full time out of the game. After their performance, they enjoyed lunch and pictures.
