Shreveport – The Centenary lacrosse team will prep for its 2024 regular season with an exhibition contest on Sunday afternoon against Louisiana Tech University at 2 p.m. at Mayo Field.
The Gents, led by fourth-year head coach Billy LeClair, feature a deep roster this season that blends experience and talent as eight freshmen join 14 returners this season.
Centenary finished 2-10 overall and 0-2 in Heartland Collegiate Lacrosse Conference (HCLC) play last season and will be an independent this season as the Maroon and White are no longer an HCLC member.
The Gents will play a second exhibition match, also at home, against Southeastern Louisiana University on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 5 p.m.
Centenary opens its regular season on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. against the Reinhardt University Eagles in Waleska, Ga. Reinhardt is an NAIA school. The Gents' home opener is set for Saturday, Feb. 24 against Huntingdon College at 1 p.m.
