Swimming Teams Complete Day Two At SCAC Championships

San Antonio, Texas – The Centenary swimming team completed action on day two of the 2020 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at the Josh Davis Natatorium as the Ladies are in fourth place and the Gents in fifth.

The Ladies have collected 140 total points while the Gents have earned 130. Host Trinity leads the way on both the men's and women's side. The Trinity men have accumulated 358 points and the women 326. Southwestern sits in second place in both men's and women's.

Centenary's team of Madelyn Frederick (Slidell, La.), Sarah Harrison (Alexandria, La.), Brianna Serret (Alexandria, La.), and Kaylin Swoboda (New Orleans) placed fourth in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, swimming the event in a time of 1:40.77. The Gent's quartet of Eddie Dyess (Vidor, Texas), Ricky LaFleur (Lafayette, La.), Daniel Lewis (Alexandria, la.), and Mitchell Lulich (New Orleans, La.) placed sixth in the event with a time of 1:29.28. Swoboda picked up Centenary's top individual finish on Thursday, as she finished third in the Women's 200 Yard IM swimming the event in a time of 2:10.35.

The Maroon and White will be back in action on Friday for day three and the championship continues through Saturday, Feb. 15.
