Greenwood, Ind. – Centenary senior DS/L Jaycie Proctor (Paris, Texas) was named to the College Sports Communicators 2022 Volleyball Academic All-District ®Team, the organization announced on Wednesday.

The 2022 Academic All‐District® Women's Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes volleyball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All‐America® ballot. First‐, second and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in late December.

Proctor finished her career as one of the top players in the division III era (2011-present) in program history in her record-breaking three seasons with the Ladies. Proctor recorded a whopping 558 digs this season and averaged 4.93 digs per set as she played in 32 matches and 113 sets. She added 14 aces, 68 assists, and six kills.

She finishes her stellar career with 1,112 digs, fourth-most in the D3 era, her 558 this season are the second-most in a single season in the D3 era, and she is also the career lead in digs per set (4.56). Proctor ranked second in the conference in digs and in the top 35 in the country in all of division III. She posted double-digit digs 28 times this season, had 20 or more 12 times, and topped 30 twice.

Proctor was one of just 13 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference student-athletes to be named to the prestigious team and is the first volleyball player in Centenary program history to earn the honor.

The Division II and III CSC Academic All‐America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022‐23 Divisions II and III Academic All- America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All‐America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
