Thackerville, Okla. - The Centenary men's golf team returns to action on Monday as the Gents tee off in the Crusader Invitational hosted by the University of Dallas at the WinStar Golf Club in Thackerville, Okla.

The Gents will be joined by the host Crusaders, Concordia (TX), ETBU, Hendrix College, Howard Payne, LeTourneau University, Schreiner, Southwestern, The University of Texas at Dallas, Texas Lutheran, and St. Thomas. The men's field will play a par 72, 6,998-yard layout. The teams will play 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 on Tuesday.

Centenary was last in action in a tri-match versus Hendrix and Millsaps on Oct. 1 at Black Bear Golf Club in Delhi, La. as the Maroon and White shot a 16-over par 304 to win the match and finish seven shots ahead of the Majors and nine in front of Hendrix. Freshman Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas), junior Ricky Blair (Bossier City, La.), and junior Andrew Bennett (Bossier City, La.) each shot a 3-over par 75 to lead the Gents to the win.

The Gents finished 11th in their season-opening tournament, the Mary Hardin-Baylor Fall Intercollegiate, on Sept. 27 at Sammons Park Golf Club in Temple, Texas. Centenary finished at 40-over par 600 for the tournament as they shaved 16 strokes off of its first-round score (28-over par 308) with a 12-over 292 in the final round. Borchert fired an even-par 70 in the final round to earn the top individual finish for the Gents as he tied for 25th place. The rookie shot a 6-over par 76 in his collegiate debut.

Blair fired a career-low 69 to tie Bennett for 29th place. Bennett, who shot a 3-over 73in round one, shot a 4-over par 74 in the final round. Blair lowered his score by nine shots from a first-round 78 and earned his eighth-career top-30 finish.

Freshman Colton Mayer (Heath, Texas) shot a 20-over par 260 to tie for 67th place, senior Devan Martin (Watson, La.) shot seven strokes lower (10-over par 80) in the final round to finish in a tie for 71st, and sophomore Tyler Jones (Stonewall, La.) tied Martin for 71st after shooting one stroke lower (13-over 83) than he did in round one.

Bennett will be the No. 1 player this week for the Gents and is set to tee off at 9:24 a.m. on the first hole, Borchert will go off at 9:15, Blair at 9:06, Martin at 8:57, and Jones at 8:48. Mayer and freshman Hahn Bridges (Sterlington, La.) will play as individuals this week and tee off at 8:30 a.m.
