The Gents (2-7) and Hawks (4-9) are meeting for the second time this season after Huntingdon edged the Maroon and White 15-14 on Feb. 13 in Shreveport. The Hawks, 2-6 at home this season, have lost three in a row entering Wednesday's game while the Gents fell 18-2 on Sunday afternoon on its Senior Day to the Colorado College Tigers.

Centenary honored its three seniors – MF Dario Garcia (Dallas, Texas), D Ethan Little (Tyler, Texas), and LSM/FO Tripp Montgomery (New Iberia, La.) in a postgame ceremony. The Gents had their two-game winning streak snapped by the Tigers as Colorado College started fast, taking an 8-0 lead after the first quarter and led 14-0 at halftime.

Junior M/A Kyle Comi (Allen, Texas) and sophomore M/A Jordan Cook (Bryant, Ark.) each scored an unassisted goal in the second half for the Gents. Comi now has nine goals this season while Cook has found the net a team-leading 19 times. Centenary played two goalkeepers as freshman Alex Nicks-Davis (Nashville, Tenn.) started for the Gents and recorded two saves and was then replaced by fellow freshman Jason Turner (Bossier City, La.) three minutes into the second quarter and played the remainder of the game making four saves.

Cook scored five goals in the first meeting between the two teams in February while freshman A Braxton Parchman (Shreveport) and freshman MF Marc Mackey (Houston, Texas) combined for five goals and four assists.
