Marshall, Texas - The Centenary men's and women's cross country teams will compete in the Tiger Invitational hosted by East Texas Baptist University on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. at Marshall City Arena.

The Ladies and Gents will be joined by the host Tigers, Belhaven University men and women, Concordia (TX) men's and women's teams, Millsaps College (M/W), Ozarks (Ark.) men and women, LeTourneau University men and women, the Jacksonville College men's team, Jarvis Christian College men, and Lane College men. Centenary will be in action for the first time in over a month as the Maroon and White last competed in the Texas A&M-Texarkana University Collegiate XC Invitational on Sept. 9.
The meet begins with the women's 6K at 5 p.m. followed by the men's 8K at 5:45 p.m. (rolling start).
Sophomore Madeline Vacula (Belton, Texas) highlighted that meet for Centenary as she finished third overall in the Women's 5000 meter run with a time of 21.15.0. On the men's side, freshman Connor Irvin (Lafayette, La.) placed 14th in the Men's 5000 meter, running a time of 18:03.2 and fellow freshman Nehemiah Brown (Shreveport, La.) finished 35th (27.54.8).
