Game 1 recap:

The game was scoreless for the first three innings before the 'Roos scored in the top of the fourth inning to take a 1-0 lead. The Ladies answered right back in the bottom half of the inning as sophomore third baseman Britlyn Garrett (Stonewall, La.) singled home senior catcher Erin Lewis (Leesville, La.) to tie the game.

The Ladies then put the game away with consecutive three-run innings in the fifth and sixth. Sophomore Kaylea Patridge (Las Vegas, Nev.) doubled with one out and after junior shortstop Jaymee Wilkinson (Brazoria, Texas) flew out, Patridge advanced to third on a wild pitch. Lewis walked and then Patridge stole home to put the Ladies ahead 2-1. Senior Brittney Broussard (Rayne, La.) then homered to score Lewis and give Centenary a 4-1 lead. Centenary scored three unearned runs in the sixth on a fielder's choice followed by an error and a sacrifice fly by Patridge

Centenary had eight hits in the game led by two each from Broussard and Garrett. Lewis was 1-1 with two runs scored and three walks. Freshman right fielder Mackenzie Cox (Alexandria, La.) went 1-4 with an RBI groundout. The Ladies drew five walks in the game and stole six bases.

Ladies' freshman pitcher Hailee Leger (Belle Chasse, La.) started and turned in another sensational performance in the circle. She pitched a complete game and allowed just one unearned run and three hits in her seven innings of work. She struck out a season-high 11 and did not walk a batter.

Leger, who was named the SCAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 8, has still yet to walk a batter this season in 38.2 inning pitched. She improved to 3-2 on the season with a team-best 1.45 ERA. She has a team-leading two saves and has allowed just eight earned runs and 28 hits with 32 strikeouts.

Ashley Elliott started and went four innings for the 'Roos and allowed one run and four hits with two walks and four strikeouts. Nikole High relieved Elliott and took the loss to fall to 0-1. She pitched two innings and yielded six runs, four earned, with four hits. She walked three and struck out one. The 'Roos had just three total hits in the game, two by leadoff hitter Jaide Vidal, and one by High hitting as the designated player.

Game 2 recap:

The Ladies jumped out to an early 3-0 lead after their first at-bat and the three runs is all they would need to take the game and complete the doubleheader sweep.

Lewis delivered an RBI single to score Patridge and freshman first baseman Isabelle Dominguez (Newark, Calf.) delivered a two-out, two-run double to make it 3-0. The RBI were the first of her career.

Junior pitcher Ashley Hunter (Benton, La.) started but was replaced in the first inning by junior Kirsytn Gomez (Deer Park, Texas). Hunter walked two and struck out one in her 0.1 innings of work. Gomez escaped a bases-loaded jam to hold the 'Roos scoreless and went on to pitch the final 6.2 innings and allowed just four hits, did not walk a batter, and struck out nine to get the win. Gomez recorded a season high in strikeouts in her best overall performance so far this season.

Austin College starter Hannah Richendollar (0-2) took the loss as she allowed three runs, one earned, and five hits in five innings. She did not walk a batter and had one strikeout. Dominguez was 2-2 with her two RBI and Patridge, Lewis, Broussard, and sophomore center fielder Mallory Stout (Trinity, Texas) each had one hit. Richendollar also went 2-3 at the plate to lead the 'Roos' offense.
