Millington, Tenn. – The Centenary women's golf team shot a 98-over par 386 on Tuesday as the Ladies finished sixth in the Rhodes Classic at Mirimichi Golf Course.
Centenary, playing in its first tournament of the 2021-22 season, entered the day sixth after shooting a 92-over 380 in Monday's opening round. The Ladies finished at +190 (766) for the tournament. Host Rhodes College won at 42-over 618 (312-306). Emma Phillips of Birmingham-Southern claimed medalist honors as she fired a 5-under 139 with rounds of 68 and 71 to end the tournament as the only individual under par.
Mississippi College finished second at 64-over 640 (313-327) Senior Abigail Hayes (Plano, Texas) was the Ladies' top finisher as she tied for 24th place at 24-over par 168. She shot a final round 15-over par 87 after a 9-over par 81 in round one on Monday. Freshman Kiley Smith (Fort Worth, Texas) finished in a tie for 35th place after shooting a final round 18-over par 90 which followed a 13-over par 85 in her collegiate debut in Monday's opening round. Hayes recorded her eighth top-25 career finish and sixth in a row after doing so in all five tournaments that she played in last season.
Senior Lindsay Strohm (McKinney, Texas) finished 43rd after turning in a 32-over par 104 on Tuesday after a 33-over 105 in round one on Monday. Sophomore Madison Wing (Shreveport, La.) was just behind her with a 44th-place finish after shooting a 33-over 1005 on Tuesday after shooting a 36-over 108 in the first round.

The Ladies are next in action Oct. 18-19 in the University of Dallas Crusader Invitational held at WinStar Golf Club in Thackerville, Okla.
