Ladies Set To Compete In Crusader Invitational

Thackerville, Okla.  The Centenary women's golf team will compete in the University of Dallas Crusader Invitational on Monday at Tuesday at the WinStar Golf Course.

The Ladies will finish their fall season on Tuesday after a sixth-place finish in the Rhodes Classic earlier this month. Centenary finished at +190 (766) for the tournament, held at Mirimichi Golf Course in Millington, Tenn.

Senior Abigail Hayes (Plano, Texas) was the Ladies' top finisher as she tied for 24th place at 24-over par 168. She shot a final round 15-over par 87 after a 9-over par 81 in round one. Hayes recorded her eighth top-25 career finish and sixth in a row after doing so in all five tournaments that she played in last season. Freshman Kiley Smith (Fort Worth, Texas) finished in a tie for 35th place in her collegiate debut after shooting a final round 18-over par 90 which followed a 13-over par 85 in her opening round.

Senior Lindsay Strohm (McKinney, Texas) finished 43rd after turning in a 32-over par 104 in the final round after a 33-over 105 in round one. Sophomore Madison Wing (Shreveport, La.) was just behind her with a 44th-place finish after shooting a 33-over 105 in the final round after shooting a 36-over 108 in the first round.

The Ladies' lineup for the tournament will be Hayes, Smith, Strohm, Wing, and freshman Nia Stewart (Ellenwood, Ga.).
