Trio Of Ladies Named To CSC Academic All-District ®Team

Greenwood, Ind. – Senior Anacelia Galeano-Balam (Baton Rouge, La.), sophomore Adriana de la Fuente (Baton Rouge, La.), and junior Madeline Vacula (Belton, Texas) were all named to the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Team by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced on Tuesday.

All three earned the prestigious honor for the first time in their careers. Galeano-Balam is a member of the Southern Collegiate Athletics Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll and has been named to the Centenary Dean's List, de la Fuente has also been named to the SCAC Student-Athlete Academic Honor Roll, and Vacula is a two-time member of the SCAC Student-Athlete Academic Honor Rolland been named to the Dean's List

The 2023-24 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 
Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 23 (women) and April 24 (men). The CSC Academic All-District® teams include the student-athletes listed at the links above.
 
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
