
Brandon Henschel And Hallie Little Join Sports Medicine Department
Brandon Henschel and Hallie Little have joined the Centenary Athletics Sports Medicine department as the Head Athletic Trainer, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced.
Shreveport - Brandon Henschel and Hallie Little have joined the Centenary Athletics Sports Medicine department, Director of Athletics and Recreation David Orr announced.
"Centenary is very excited to have two outstanding professionals lead Centenary Athletics Training Room," said Orr.
Henschel, a native of Iron River, Mich., is the new Head Athletic Trainer while Little, a native of Shreveport, joins the department as an Athletic Trainer.
Henschel comes to Centenary from The University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM), where he served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with Football, Volleyball, Beach Volleyball, Softball, and Men's Basketball teams from March 2023 to July of 2024
Henschel earned his Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training from Central Michigan University in 2022, with minors in Public Health and Substance Abuse Education. He is currently working on his Master's Degree in Exercise Science from ULM.
From 2018 through 2022, Henschel was a Student Athletic Trainer with Central Michigan University, Northwood University, Central Michigan Rehabilitation, and the University of New Orleans (Ochsner Health). As an intern at New Orleans, Henschel worked with the Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, as well as the Indoor and Beach Volleyball teams. He has also volunteered medical coverage for the Louisiana Fire Youth Soccer Club and Holy Cross High School Football in New Orleans.
He holds CPR and First Aid Certification through the American Heart Association, as well as Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist Certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Little, a 1999 graduate of Arkansas State University, is an experienced swimming instructor who has coached for 10 years and teachers ISR, which is an Infant swimming resource that teaches infants six months and older how to survive if they fall in the water.
She became certified in athletic training in 2023 and worked PRN for Willis-Knighton Health System and Christus Health System before coming to Centenary.
Little and her husband Warren have four daughters – Hannah (24), Caroline (22), Jamie (20), and Anna (19).
