The Gents (7-1) have been extremely successful this season, outscoring the opposition 348-103, and recorded three shutouts. Centenary opened the season with seven-straight wins before falling 56-23 to the Arkansas Baptist College Buffaloes last Saturday in Little Rock, Ark. Lyon College (4-4) enters Saturday's contest winners of two games in a row and is 2-1 at home this season.
Centenary finished a grueling stretch in which they played three games in a span of 18 days and had just four days in between Saturday's contest with the Buffaloes and their previous game, a 28-0 shutout over the Texas Lutheran University JV squad on Oct. 30 in Fort Worth, Texas.
"Lyon college is a well-coached team with talented players at every position," said Centenary head coach Byron Dawson.
"Head coach Chris Douglas and his staff have done a tremendous job of building his program and setting a standard. We must be totally focused on executing the game plan and bringing our A-game on Saturday."
"Saturday's game will be our third road game in the last 13 days and is significant because it is our season finale."
