NORMAN, Okla. — Centenary junior men's golfer Richard Polan has been named a 2021-22 Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar for NCAA Division III, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced on Friday.

Polan (Brno, Czech Republic) continues to add individual postseason honors to his impressive resume and is just one of 140 NCAA Division III athletes from 56 schools to earn Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar honors this season.

Polan helped lead the Gents to a seventh-place finish at the 2022 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships this past season in Blanco, Texas as he finished third overall, shooting a 1-under par 215. He was one of just four golfers to finish at or under par for the event and earned First-Team All-SCAC honors with his top-three finish.

Polan recorded his first-career victory this past season at the 2022 Rhodes Spring Classic and now owns six-career top-five finishes and nine top-10 finishes. Polan, named the SCAC Men's Golfer of the week following his individual win, was named to the CoSIDA Academic All‐District At‐Large Team in June which recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.

Polan earned Honorable-Mention honors on the 2022 Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) All-Louisiana Men's and Women's College Golf teams, as he became the first Centenary men's golfer to make the team since 2020.
