Ladies Set To Face Mississippi University for Women In Home DH

Shreveport – The Centenary volleyball team returns home for the first time in three weeks on Saturday to face the Mississippi University for Women Owls in a non-conference doubleheader set for 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Gold Dome.

The Ladies (12-18) and Owls (1-13) will meet for the first time since the 2018 season. Centenary is 4-0 all-time versus the Owls. Live stats and live video are available for both matches at the links below:

Centenary swept the Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs, 3-0, on Wednesday evening in a non-conference match on the road as the Maroon and White improved to a perfect 3-0 against the Bulldogs this season after recording previous wins on Sept. 3 and Sept. 15 against them. Centenary won the first set 25-18, took set two by a score of 25-23, and then closed out the match in the third set, 25-21. 

Sophomore DS/L Jaycie Proctor (Paris, Texas) recorded 20 digs and two assists versus the Bulldogs and entered the match fifth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference in digs with 289. Freshman RS Jaylin St. Martin (New Orleans, La.) posted 10 kills and five digs and sophomore DS/L Tori Ligman (Bossier City, La.) tallied nine digs. Senior S Marichael Clarin-Jante (Houston, Texas) entered Wednesday's action ranked second in the SCAC in assists with 542 and added to her total with 16 against the Bulldogs and added 11 digs and an ace.

Sophomore S Regan Griffin (Arlington, Texas) posted four assists and three digs and fellow sophomore MB/OH Robin Lemelle (Liberty, Texas) added four digs and a pair of kills. Junior DS Mariah Martinez (San Antonio, Texas) posted 10 digs and a pair of aces. Senior OH Lauren Kelley (Fort Worth, Texas) recorded nine kills and five digs. Freshman OH/DS Kiara Liedy (Sugar Land, Texas) had five digs, three kills, and an ace.

Centenary, back home for the first time since hosting a SCAC divisional Oct. 1-2, is an impressive 6-2 at home this season with five sweeps. The Ladies remain at home following Saturday's doubleheader to face Dallas Christian College on Wednesday, Oct. 27 for their annual Senior Night match set for 6 p.m.
