Seguin, Texas – The Centenary volleyball team was swept by Texas Lutheran and St. Thomas in consecutive matches on Saturday in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference divisional on the campus of Texas Lutheran at Tostengard Activity Center.
The Ladies (15-20, 2-12 SCAC) fell 3-0 to the Celts in their opening match of the day and then dropped a 3-0 match to the host Bulldogs of TLU in match two. St. Thomas took match one by scores of 25-19, 25-21, and 25-18. The Ladies recorded 40 digs, 31 kills, and 27 assists. Texas Lutheran took set one, 25-14, won the second set by a score of 25-13, and then clinched the match with a 25-7 decision in set three. Centenary totaled 43 digs, 16 kills, and 14 assists versus the Bulldogs.

Senior S Marichael Clarin-Jante (Houston, Texas) recorded 25 assists and added five digs while freshman RS Jaylin St. Martin (New Orleans, La.) tallied 10 digs, six kills, and an assist. Senior MB Elizabeth Epley (Nashville, Tenn.) had eight kills and a dig and sophomore DS/L Tori Ligman (Bossier City, La.) had eight digs.
Sophomore MB/OH Robin Lemelle (Liberty, Texas) had 11 digs and two kills, freshman RS Aubrey Salazar (San Antonio, Texas) recorded eight kills and a pair of digs and fellow freshman Elizabeth Canady (League City, Texas) had six kills and a dig.

Junior DS Mariah Martinez (San Antonio, Texas) posted 10 digs, Ligman added 11 of her own, and Clarin-Jante tallied 12 assists and six digs. St. Martin had six digs and three kills. Lemelle had six digs and an ace and Canady turned in her second-straight impressive performance of the day as she recorded 10 kills and a pair of digs.
