Shreveport - Freshman Amy Foret (Bedford, Texas) has been selected as the MIC Newcomer of the Week, the Midwest Independent Conference announced on Thursday.

Foret earned the honor for the second time this season after winning it on Feb. 1. She earned one of the four individual honors that the conference chooses on a weekly basis. Lindsay Ockler (SEMO) and Angelica Labat (ISU) were named Co-Gymnast of the Week and Nyah Reader (SEMO) garnered Performance of the Week honors.

Foret won the All-Around competition with a career-high 38.225 on Saturday in the Rose City Classic in Tyler, Texas, winning the AA for the second meet in a row and third time this season. She earned three top-10 finishes on beam (8^th), vault (10^th), and floor (T-6^th). She also placed 11^th on bars with a 9.375. Foret tied with TWU's Kyla Podges on floor with a 9.725, scored a 9.575 on vault, a 9.55 on bean, and a 9.725 on floor.

The Ladies will host Lindenwood University on Saturday, March 11 on Senior Night in a dual MIC meet set for 5 p.m.
