Shreveport – The Centenary baseball teams' opening series against Rhodes College this weekend has been moved from Shehee Stadium to Tennessee.

The Diamond Gents and Lynx will play a pair of games - the first on Monday, Feb. 12 at 3 p.m. at the USA Baseball Stadium Complex in Millington, Tenn. and the second on Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 1 p.m. on the Rhodes campus at the Lynx' home facility - Stauffer Field at Irwin Lainoff Stadium.

Centenary and Rhodes will meet on the diamond for the first time in each other's history. The Lynx are picked to finish third in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) this season and like the Diamond Gents, they are receiving votes in the 2024 D3baseball.com/NCBWA Preseason Top 25 Poll.

The Diamond Gents, led by veteran head coach Mike Diaz, are coming off of another successful season in 2023 as they finished 23-15 overall and 13-7 in SCAC play, earning the No. 3 seed in the SCAC Championship in Cleburne, Texas.
