Ladies Sixth After Round One Of Rhodes Classic

Millington, Tenn. – The Centenary women's golf team shot a 91-over par 379 in its opening round of the 2021-22 season on Monday to end the day in sixth place in the Rhodes Classic at Mirimichi Golf Course.

Senior Abigail Hayes (Plano, Texas) shot the Ladies' lowest round if the day as she carded a 9-over 81. Freshman Kiley Smith (Fort Worth, Texas) shot a 13-over par 85 in her collegiate debut, senior Lindsay Strohm (McKinney, Texas) shot a 33-over 105, and sophomore Madison Wing (Shreveport, La.) was just behind her after shooting a 36-over 108. Freshman Nia Stewart (Ellenwood, Ga.) withdrew. 

Host Rhodes is the leader after day one after shooting a 312. Mississippi College and Millsaps are tied for second place and one shot back (313), while Maryville is fourth at 337. Piedmont is in fifth just in front of the Ladies after shooting a 341.
