Centenary will face Texas Lutheran (12-4, 2-1 SCAC) on Sunday at 10 a.m. to wrap up the weekend. The Maroon and White are seeking its first conference win of the season after going 0-4 in a crossover at home on Sept. 24-25 to begin league play, falling to Austin College, Colorado College, Schreiner, and Trinity.

The Ladies, though, rebounded from that disappointing weekend with a road sweep over the Louisiana Christian University Wildcats on Tuesday evening in a non-conference contest in Pineville, La. Centenary swept the Wildcats for the second-consecutive meeting after doing so in Shreveport last season and also made history as the Ladies finished with a division III era (2011-present) single-match program record .438 hitting percentage.

Centenary finished with 73 total attacks and finished with 38 kills and only six errors. The previous mark was .435 on Oct. 19, 2016 against Texas College.

Centenary finished with 36 assists, 30 digs, and eight service aces. The Ladies won set one, 25-17, and then took sets two and three by the identical score (25-16). The Ladies hit .500 in the first and third sets and .304 in set two.

Senior S/RS Rachel Demerjian (Glendora, Calif.) had a team-high 18 assists and added seven digs and a pair of aces. Freshman S Meadow Smith (Mansfield, Texas) had a solid match with 12 assists, five digs, and an ace. Sophomore RS Aubrey Salazar (San Antonio, Texas) had eight kills and two digs, senior DS/L Jaycie Proctor (Paris, Texas) posted four assist, four digs, and a kill.

Sophomore RS Jaylin St. Martin (New Orleans, La.) had 10 kills, two assists, and a dig good for 11 points. Sophomore MB Elizabeth Canady (League City, Texas) had eight kills and one dig for eight points. Sophomore OH/DS Kiara Liedy (Sugar Land, Texas) had a team-high three aces and three digs.

Centenary leads the conference in service aces and ranks second in the SCAC in assists, digs and kills, third in blocks. Lowe and St. Martin rank in the top 10 in the conference in kills, Demerjian is third in assists and ranks in the top 10 in aces and digs. Proctor leads the conference in digs with 272 digs and averages 5.33 digs per set. She posted a career-high 35 digs in the loss to Schreiner on Sept. 25, which is the second-most in a single match in the division era (2011-present) in program history. The Ladies rank in the top 15 in the country in total digs and in the top 50 in digs per set. Proctor is ranked in the top 30 in the country in digs per set.
