Gents to Face Colorado College In Pair of Road Matches this Weekend

Colorado Spring, Colo. - The Centenary lacrosse team will face the Colorado College Tigers in a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference road matches this weekend beginning on Friday at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. central) at Washburn Field.

Colorado College (5-1, 1-0 SCAC) lost at Salisbury University on the road Sunday in its most recent match. The teams will play again on Sunday at Noon (1 p.m. central). Live stats and live video are available for both matches at the links below:

The Gents (1-6) fell to the Hendrix College Warriors at hone on March 18 in their most recent action by a score of 20-3. Centenary fell behind 7-0 after the first quarter and was down 11-0 at halftime as the Warriors' offense started quick. The Gents found the net twice in the second half, scoring a single goal in the third period and a pair in the fourth.

Freshman Wikenson Julien (Immokalee, Fla.) recorded the first multi-goal game of his career as he scored his third and fourth goals of the season. Sophomore Kyle Comi (Allen, Texas) scored the Gents' third goal of the night and now has three goals this season. Comi also assisted Julien's first goal and sophomore Mark Temple (Houston, Texas) earned an assist on Comi's score.

Freshman Noah Katz (Las Vegas, Nev.) and fellow freshman Jacob Miller (Liberty Hill, Texas) led the Gents with two ground balls each. Hendrix had 23 ground balls for the game while the Gents collected 15. Hendrix held a 41-20 advantage in shots and went 6-7 on clears while Centenary was 8-11. Centenary committed 22 turnovers to 18 for Hendrix. The Warriors went 18-26 on face off opportunities while the Gents were 8-26.

Centenary goalkeeper Thomas Siskron (Shreveport) played all 60 minutes and collected 11 saves and now has 105 saves this season and an impressive 226 career saves. Siskron entered the night ranked eighth in the SCAC in goals against average, seventh in save percentage, and second in saves per game. Siskron also entered Thursday's action tied for 19th in the country in saves per game (15.67). Hendrix goalie Garrison Winter made six saves.
