Men's Soccer Falls at Colorado College, 2-0 on Saturday

Colorado Spring, Colo. - The Centenary men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on Saturday afternoon to the Colorado College Tigers in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Stewart Field.

The Gents (2-3-1, 2-2 SCAC) were playing on the road for only the second time this season after falling by a score of 1-0 at St. Thomas last Saturday. The Tigers improved to 3-1-1 overall and 3-0-1 in SCAC play.

The game was scoreless until the Tigers' Skyl Stark-Ragsdale found the net in the 40th minute to give Colorado College 1 -0 lead off an assist from Kevin Peterson which it took into the halftime locker room. Centenary took five shots to the Tigers' two in the first half and the Tigers had three corner kicks to the Gents' two. Kiran Singh scored the Tigers' second goal in the 72nd minute off the assist from Jackson Silverstein to make it 2-0.

Gents' junior goalkeeper Sami Borchalli (Lafayette, La.) played all 90 minutes and made five saves. Tigers' GK Keleher picked up the win as he made three saves. Each team wound up with 10 shots for the game.

The Gents remain on the road next weekend as well as they face Southwestern on Saturday, April 3 at 3 p.m. Centenary faces Schreiner on April 10 for Senior Day in their home finale and then finish the regular season at Texas Lutheran on April 17. Centenary then will serve as host for the 2021 SCAC Men's Soccer Championship on April 23 and 25 at Mayo Field.
