Shreveport - The Centenary softball team welcomes the Pacific Boxers to town on Saturday for a non-conference doubleheader with first pitch in game one set for 2 p.m. at the Centenary Softball Complex.

The Ladies (1-2) capped the first weekend of play of the season with a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win on Sunday in game two of a non-conference doubleheader versus the UT-Dallas Comets. The Boxers are 3-5 on the season. Game two will start at approximately 4 p.m.

Junior Erin Lewis (Leesville, La.) singled in Kirstyn Gomez (Deer Park, Texas) with two outs facing a full count and the score tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Ladies' first win of the season. UT-Dallas took game one of the doubleheader by a score of 9-2.

Sophomore Ashley Hunter (Benton, La.) started in the circle for the Ladies and tossed a complete game. Hunter allowed six hits and three runs, all earned, in her seven innings of work while walking two and striking out one. She allowed four hits, a walk, and hit a batter in the first two innings and then settled down and gave up just two hits and no runs over the final five frames to improve to 1-0 this season. Lewis led the Ladies with two hits and is 3-9 with three RBI after three games for Centenary while senior SS Haley Campbell (Erath, La.) is 3-8 with a pair of doubles.
