Shreveport - The Centenary softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with the Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs on Saturday at the Centenary Softball Complex, falling in game one, 4-2, and winning the second game, 3-1.
The Ladies (3-4) were scheduled to be in Baton Rouge this weekend for tournament play hosted by Southern University but weather altered Centenary's schedule. The Ladies also had a doubleheader at Hendrix scheduled for Thursday in Conway, Ark. rained out. Jarvis Christian (6-5) had its two-game winning streak snapped.
The Ladies will be on the road next Tuesday, Feb. 25 for a non-conference doubleheader at the Mississippi University for Women with games set for 2 and 4 p.m. Centenary opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at home on March 7 with a doubleheader against the University of Dallas with games scheduled for Noon and 2 p.m. and game three set for Noon on Sunday, March 8.
