Diamond Gents Earn DH Split On Saturday At Texas Lutheran

Seguin, Texas – The Centenary baseball team earned a doubleheader split with the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference action on Saturday, falling 10-4 in game one and finishing the day with a 2-1 win at Katt-Isbel Field.

The Diamond Gents (11-10, 1-2 SCAC) fell 7-2 in the series opener but finished on a high note against the Bulldogs (11-7, 2-1 SCAC) with their third one-run win of the season. Centenary had its season-high four-game winning streak snapped with Friday's loss but the Maroon and White are still 5-2 in the last seven games.

Centenary is back home next weekend for a big series with #18 Trinity (10-5, 3-0 SCAC) at Shehee Stadium. The series opener is set for Friday, March 25 at 6 p.m. and wraps up with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 26 at 1 and 4 p.m.
