Shreveport– The Centenary baseball team was swept in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader by #16 Trinity University on Saturday, falling 13-12 in game one and 10-5 in game two at Shehee Stadium.
The Diamond Gents (12-12, 2-4 SCAC) opened the series with a dominating 10-0 victory in eight innings to run-rule the Tigers (12-7, 5-1 SCAC) on Friday. Centenary is 7-5 at home this season and an impressive 27-9 in its last 35 home games dating back to the beginning of last season.
Centenary is now on the road for its next two conference series, April 1-2 at Schreiner and April 9-10 at Dallas. The Diamond Gents' next home series will be April 14-15 versus Austin College.
