Houston- The Centenary baseball team had its season-best 10-game winning streak snapped on Saturday as the Diamond Gents dropped a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader to the University of St. Thomas Celts, 11-2 in eight innings in game one and 8-7 in game two at Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park on the University of Houston campus.

Centenary finishes the regular season at 24-15 overall and 14-7 in SCAC play while the Celts improved to 17-23 overall and 11-10 in conference play. The Diamond Gents secured the No. 3 seed in next weekend's SCAC Championship in Cleburne, Texas while the Celts earned the No. 4 seed and their first appearance in the event in program history. Trinity (19-2 SCAC) and Texas Lutheran (17-4 SCAC) will be the No. 1 and 2 seeds respectively May 6-8 at The Depot at Cleburne Station.
