Shreveport - Centenary's game against the Haywood Crusaders scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m. has been canceled, head coach Byron Dawson announced on Wednesday. 

The Gents, instead, will hold a FREE intrasquad scrimmage at Mayo Field on Centenary's campus on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 7:30 p.m. 

The Gents (3-0) have been explosive on offense so far this season, outscoring their three opponents by a total of 170-33 and 136-6 over the last two games -beating Louisiana Community Christian College 79-6 on Sept. 9 and John Melvin 57-0 on Sept. 16. 

The Gents will face John Melvin again, on Saturday, Oct. 14 in Crowley, and then play their final home game of the season on Wednesday, Oct. 18 against TWA College at 6 p.m.
