Gymnastics Set for Sunday Tri-Meet Versus TWU and Oklahoma

Denton, Texas- The Centenary Ladies gymnastics team will face host Texas Woman's University Pioneers and the University of Oklahoma Sooners in a tri-meet set for 2 p.m. on Sunday at the Kitty Magee Arena.

*The video, unlike at Centenary home meets, is not FREE however. A pay-per-view model allows the ability to purchase a 24-hour pass for $10 that will give them access to Sunday's stream available on the LSC Digital Network. 

The Ladies will be facing TWU for the third time already this season and Oklahoma for the second time. Centenary finished second last Sunday to host Southeast Missouri in a dual meet at the Show Me Center in Cape Girardeau. Mo. as the Ladies wrapped up their weekend visit to the state of Missouri after the Ladies and SEMO met on Feb. 26 along with fellow Midwest Independence Conference member Illinois State in a tri-meet at the Show Me center. Centenary finished with a total score of 188.00 on Sunday and earned an overall team score of 183.425 on the Feb. 26 meet.

Centenary previously faced TWU along with Air Force in its season opener on Feb. 7 and then the following weekend the Ladies, Pioneers, and Sooners competed against each other in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Ladies enter Sunday's action ranked 51st in the country and are currently the highest ranked division III team in the nation. TWU, a DII school, is ranked 44th while D1 Oklahoma is ranked second in the country.

Centenary recorded a 47.525 on vault last Sunday, its highest score in any of the four individual events and finished with a 47.475 on floor, a 47.325 on beam, and a 45.675 on bars. Ladies' Junior All-American Kendall Sanders (Spring Branch, Texas) won the all-around competition with a score of 38.025, highlighted by a pair of season-best scores on beam (9.700) and floor (9.725) to place third and fifth respectively. She scored a 9.375 on vault and a 9.225 on bars. finished fourth in the all-around with a score of 37.075 in Friday's meet.

Sophomores Kendall Huff (Riviera, Texas) and Lauryn Stiff (Branson, Mo.) each earned a 9.575 on vault tie for the Ladies' top scores in the event. Huff also earned a season and career-best score on floor (9.500) and Stiff recorded a new season and career-best 9.475 on floor.

Junior Xian Baumgartner (Albuquerque, N.M.) had the highest score on bars with a 9.425, a new season-best mark for her and scored another season-best on beam (9.575). Senior Jenny Jackson (Monticello, Fla.) scored a season-high 9.475 on vault and freshman Rylie Molina (Moss Bluff, La.) scored a season and career-best 9.550 on beam

The Ladies will celebrate their three seniors in the final home meet of the regular season on Friday, March 12 against TWU at 6 p.m. Live stats and live video stream will be available.
