Men's Basketball Set To Face Northwestern State In Exhibition

Natchitoches – The Centenary men's basketball team will face the Northwestern State Demons on Tuesday in an exhibition game set for 5:30 p.m. at Prather Coliseum.

Tuesday's game marks the second and final exhibition game of the 2019-20 season. The Gents dropped a 74-64 decision to the LSU-S Pilots last Wednesday at The Dock as the Gents opened their season. Centenary will open its regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Louisiana College, and the Maroon and White's home opener will be on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. against Millsaps in the Gold Dome.

Centenary and Northwestern State will meet for the 142nd time in history on Tuesday in one of the Gents' longest-running series which Centenary leads, 75-66.

Two Gents scored in double figures against the Pilots led by Cedric Harris (Shreveport) who scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. The 6-6 senior guard and former C.E. Byrd star was 7-17 from the floor and made five three pointers. Sophomore Ty Prince (Thorndale, Texas) added 17 points and eight rebounds. The Gents shot 39 % from the field and were a solid 8-10 from the free throw line.
