Seguin, Texas – The Centenary volleyball team returns to Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play this weekend as the Ladies will play a trio of league matches in a crossover hosted by the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs at Memorial Gymnasium.

The Ladies (6-10, 0-5 SCAC) took a break from conference play on Wednesday as they recorded a road sweep over Wiley College in Marshall, Texas. Centenary recorded a season sweep of the Wildcats following a 3-0 home win on Sept. 6.

Centenary will face the University of St. Thomas (10-6, 4-2 SCAC) and Southwestern University (5-8, 0-5 SCAC) on Friday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. respectively and the host Bulldogs (12-4, 3-1 SCAC) on Saturday at 12:15 p.m.

Ladies' Season Leaders:

Aces: Junior OH/DS Kiara Liedy (Sugar Land, Texas) – 22

Assists: Sophomore S Meadow Smith (Mansfield, Texas) – 415

Blocks: Junior MB Elizabeth Canady (League City, Texas) – 9

Digs: Liedy – 232

Kills: Canady – 131

Centenary has 540 assists, 94 aces, 23 solo blocks, 873 digs, and 587 kills. The Maroon and White are averaging 10.48 kills per set, 9.64 assists/set, 1.30 blocks/set, 1.68 aces/set, and 15.59 digs/set. The Ladies have a .142 hitting % with 302 errors in 2,002 total attacks.

Junior RS Jaylin St. Martin (New Orleans, La.) is right behind Canady for the team lead in kills with 127 and has 143 digs (second on team) and 16 aces (third on team). She is also second on the team in total blocks with three solo blocks and 16 block assists for a total of 19.

Canady also has 38 digs, nine assists, and four aces. Liedy, in addition to being the team leader in both aces and digs, has tallied 28 assists (third on team) and one kill and is ranked in the top 10 in the SCAC in aces and digs. Smith has 151 digs (second on team), 25 kills, and eight block assists and currently ranks in the top five in the conference in assists and aces.

Sophomore DS/L Daly Nagot (Benton, La.) has turned in an impressive season as she has recorded 116 digs (fourth on team), 15 aces (tied for second on team), 22 assists (fourth on team) and three kills. Senior MB/OH Robin Lemelle (Liberty, Texas) has 80 digs, 50 kills, eight block assists, two aces, and two assists.

Freshman RS/S Victoria Larson (Royse City, Texas) is off to a solid start in her rookie season as she has totaled 65 kills, 45 assists, 22 digs, and two solo blocks along with 10 block assists for a total of 12. Freshman OH/DS Mackenzie Haley (Orange, Texas) has recorded 65 kills, 51 digs, four assists, two aces, and six block assists. Freshman MB Bailee Henderson (Monroe, La.) has 79 kills, 10 digs, two assists, an ace, and is second on the team in total blocks (27) with seven solo blocks and 20 block assists.

Centenary head coach Ashley McDonough is just three wins away from tying the all-time record by a head coach in program history held by Jenny Hazelwood (48) who coached from 2002-06.
