Longview, Texas - The Centenary baseball team will face the LeTourneau University YellowJackets on Tuesday evening in a non-conference contest set for 6 p.m. at Conrad-Vernon Field.

The Diamond Gents (4-3) and YellowJackets (7-7) will meet for the first time since the Maroon and White won four games over LeTourneau in the 2021 season, two in Shreveport and two in Longview. Centenary and LeTourneau have played 76 times in history with the Maroon and White dominating the all-time series, 61-15.
Centenary earned a doubleheader split with the Alma College Scots on Saturday, falling 6-5 and responding with an 11-2 victory to wrap up a three-game non-conference weekend series at Shehee Stadium. Alma won the series opener on Friday, 6-5. LeTourneau, 3-4 at home this season, was swept over the weekend at home by Sul Ross State.
The Diamond Gents enter Tuesday's play hitting .289 as a team with an on-bae percentage of .398 and a slugging % of .389. Centenary is averaging eight runs per game and has 61 hits including 17 extra-base hits. The Diamond Gents have drawn 29 walks and been hit by a pitch 12 times. Centenary has a team ERA of 2.95 with 51 strikeouts and 20 walks.
Junior 2B Jobee Boone (Opelousas, La.) is the Diamond Gents' leading hitter through seven games as he is batting .423 (.448 OBP/.500 slugging) with a team-best 11 hits and is tied for the team lead in runs scored with eight. Boone has three RBI, two doubles, a walk, and three stolen bases. He is currently fifth in the conference in average.
Sophomore LHP Tyler Herrera (Spring, Texas) is 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA (eighth in the league) and a team-best 17 K's in 13.1 innings pitched. Senior RHP Parker Primeaux (Lake Charles, La.) has a 1.42 ERA in 6.1 IP with four K's and has not yet recorded a decision. Freshman RHP Aiden Reicheck (Bellaire, Texas) has a 1.80 ERA in five innings pitched with five K's. Senior RHP Christian Diaz (Houston, Texas) has yet to allow a run in 6.1 innings with only a walk on seven hits and five K's.
Junior SS Noah Koehmstedt (San Diego, Calif.) is hitting .294 (.520 OBP/.529 Slugging) with five hits, four runs scored, three RBI, two doubles, a triple, four walks, and three stolen bases. Junior C/UT Austyn Benoit (Welsh, La.) is batting .313 with an OBP of .400 and is slugging .563. He has five hits, five RBI, six runs scored, two doubles, a triple, and a walk. Freshman OF Lenny Forth (Flower Mound, Texas) is second on the team in both hits (8), runs (8), and RBI (6) and is batting .333 (.429 OBP/.417 SLG.) with three walks, two doubles, and a stolen base.
Freshman OF Carson Livesay (Lafayette, La.) is off to an impressive start as the rookie is hitting .348 (.483 OBP/.522 SLG.) with eight hits and seven runs scored as he is second on the team in both categories. Livesay has five RBI, two doubles, a triple, two stolen bases, and a team-high six walks. Sophomore OF Cade LaBruyere (Iowa, La.) is hitting .333 (.462 OBP/.381 SLG.) with seven hits, eight runs scored, three RBI, five walks, a double, and team-high five stolen bases.
