The Gents (1-7) aim to snap a five-game losing streak and improve upon their 1-4 home record. The Majors (2-5) are 0-2 on the road this season. The teams are meeting for the second time in a matter of weeks as Millsaps defeated centenary 75-63 in Jackson, Miss. on Nov. 23. The Majors lost 98-79 at home to Huntingdon College in their last action on Dec. 3 at home.
Centenary lost 75-59 at LeTourneau University last Friday in its most recent action which was preceded by an 89-78 loss to the University of Ozarks in its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference opener on Dec. 4 at home. The Gents, who finished 11-3 on their home court last season counting the regular season and conference tournament are now 23-9 in their last 32 home games and have won 47 of 58 overall.
The Gents are averaging 66.5 PPG, shooting 37.2 % from the floor, 25.9 % from beyond the arc, 75.0 % from the free-throw line, and average 30.1 rebounds/game. Centenary has tallied 10+ steals in a game five times this season and three games in a row and recorded 10+ assists four times.

Junior G Quentin Beverly (Katy, Texas) missed the first six games of the season with an injury but has come back strong as he is averaging 18.5 PPG after 29 in his season debut against Ozarks and eight in 21 minutes against LeTourneau. Beverly just missed tying his career-high of 30 points which he scored last season at home against the University of Dallas.
He finished 5-16 from beyond the arc and his 16 3-point FG attempts are one shy of the all-time Gold Dome record of 17 by Trenton Smith on Jan. 13, 1992 against ETBU. Beverly also finished 10-10 at the free-throw line and he becomes one of just 13 players in program history to finish perfect at the line with a minimum of 10 attempts in games played at the Gold Dome and the first since James Sapp in 2014.
Greenleaf (9.6 PPG) is one of seven Gents averaging 7.0 PPG or more this season. Senior G Jalen Ned (New Orleans, La.) is averaging 10.9 PPG, junior G Zyquarius Cowart (Rayville, La.) averages 8.0 PPG, Addison is averaging 7.5 PPG, and freshman G Trenton Thomas (Cedar Hill, Texas) is averaging 7.0 PPG.
