The Gents (0-1) dropped their season opener by a score of 20-5 to Huntingdon College on Sunday at Mayo Field while LaGrange fell 18-3 at Birmingham-Southern on Saturday. Centenary fell behind early in the game after a strong first quarter from the visiting Hawks. The Gents, though, rallied as they scored three straight goals to go into the half training only 7-3.

Freshman Michael Mosura (Bossier City) and John-Mark Waniewski (Bossier City), a pair of local products and former teammates at Airline High School each made their collegiate debut and promptly found themselves on the score sheet on Sunday. Mosura finished the game with two goals, one assist and three ground balls, and Waniewski finished the day with two goals.

Centenary will face Oglethorpe in Atlanta on Sunday and wrap up the road trip with a game versus Birmingham-Southern on Tuesday, Feb. 18 before returning home for three-consecutive home games in early March.
