Softball Falls To Dallas, 6-4, In Eight Innings On Sunday
March 09, 2020The Centenary softball team dropped a tough, 6-4, decision in eight innings on Sunday in the finale of a three-game Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference weekend series against the University of Dallas Crusaders at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies (6-6, 2-1 SCAC) had clinched the series with a doubleheader sweep on Saturday, winning both games by one run each on a walk-off RBI single by freshman Taylor Mayo (Shreveport) in game one and a Mayo sacrifice fly in game two.

March 07, 2020The Centenary softball team swept a doubleheader over the University of Dallas Crusaders on Saturday as the Ladies opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies (6-5, 2-0 SCAC) earned a pair of one-run victories as they took game one by a score of 5-4 and won game two, 4-3.

Softball Splits DH On Road Tuesday
February 25, 2020The Centenary softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with the Mississippi University for Women Owls on Tuesday in the Ladies’ first two road contests of the season. Centenary (4-5) won game one, 6-3, but fell 7-6 in eight innings in the nightcap. The Ladies had their two-game winning streak snapped in game two.

The Ladies (3-4) split a non-conference doubleheader with the Jarvis Christian College Bulldogs on Saturday at the Centenary Softball Complex, falling in game one, 4-2, and winning the second game, 3-1.

Softball Announces Schedule Changes For Weekend
February 20, 2020The Centenary softball schedule for this week and the coming weekend has been affected by weather and the changes are below. The Ladies (2-3) were scheduled to face Hendrix this afternoon in a doubleheader in Conway, Ark. but those games have been postponed. Centenary was then scheduled to be in Baton Rouge this weekend for a tournament at Southern University along with Jarvis Christian, but weather has cancelled the event. Jarvis Christian will now come to the Centenary Softball Complex for a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday with games set for 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.

February 16, 2020The Centenary softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with the Pacific University Boxers on Saturday at the Centenary Softball Complex, winning game one by a score of 6-5 and dropping a tough game two, 8-4. The Ladies (2-3) were coming off a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win over UT-Dallas last Sunday at home and continued the momentum with another one-run win in game one on Saturday. Pacific (4-6) broke a 4-4 tie with four runs in the top of the seventh inning in the nightcap to earn the split.

February 14, 2020The Centenary softball team welcomes the Pacific Boxers to town on Saturday for a non-conference doubleheader with first pitch in game one set for 2 p.m. at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies (1-2) capped the first weekend of play of the season with a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win on Sunday in game two of a non-conference doubleheader versus the UT-Dallas Comets. The Boxers are 3-5 on the season. Game two will start at approximately 4 p.m.

Centenary Walks Off UT-Dallas To Earn Split of Doubleheader
February 09, 2020The Centenary softball team capped its first weekend of play with a thrilling 4-3 walk-off win on Sunday in game two of a non-conference doubleheader versus the UT-Dallas Comets at the Centenary Softball Complex. Junior Erin Lewis (Leesville, La.) singled in Kirstyn Gomez (Deer Park, Texas) with two outs and the score tied at 3-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Ladies' first win of the season. UT-Dallas took game one of the doubleheader by a score of 9-2.

Softball DH Moved Up To 1 PM Start Sunday Due To Weather
February 08, 2020The Centenary softball team's doubleheader against the University of Texas at Dallas on Sunday at home will now start at 1 p.m. and not 2 p.m. as originally scheduled due to the forecast of rain in the later afternoon and early evening hours. Game one between the Ladies and Comets will begin at 1 p.m. at the Centenary Softball Complex with game two following at approximately 3 p.m.

Softball Picked Fourth In SCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
February 04, 2020The Centenary softball team was predicted to finish fourth in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference this season by the league’s coaches based on balloting in the annual preseason coaches’ poll. The Ladies, led by fifth-year head coach Mark Suire, finished 18-23 last season and won four of their final six games as they posted a 12-10 conference record and finished third in the SCAC Championship held on their home field.

Softball Announces 2020 Schedule
December 17, 2019The Centenary softball program released its 2020 season schedule on Tuesday as the Ladies will play the first five games of their season at home and will open up against East Texas Baptist University on Feb. 8 at 1 p.m. at the Centenary Softball Complex. The Ladies, led by fifth-year head coach Mark Suire, will play 35 regular-season games including 19 at home. Centenary opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on Saturday, March 7 at home against the University of Dallas. The teams will play a doubleheader at Noon and 2 p.m. and conclude the three-game series the following day with a Noon game. The Ladies will play 18 SCAC contests, eight at home and 10 on the road.
