Muscle Shoals, Ala. – The Centenary men's golf team will compete in The Visit Florence/Shoals Intercollegiate this week, beginning on Sunday with a scheduled 7:30 a.m. start at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail "Fighting Joe" Course.

The Gents, who were last in action on March 18-19 in their annual home tournament - the Hal Sutton Invitational, will be joined by nine other schools this week and be tested by the par-72, 7,165-yard course. Emory University will be the host of the event, with the field playing 18 holes each day for a total of 54 holes. The final round is set for Tuesday after round one on Sunday and round two on Monday.

The Gents shot a 58-over par 634 to finish seventh in the Hal Sutton last month and were led by a fifth-place finish from senior Andrew Bennett (Bossier City, La.). He shot an even-par 72 in the final round and finished at 3-over par 147.

Freshman Aubrey Snell (Shreveport, La.) was the Gents' second-best finisher as he shot a 10-over par 154 to finish 13th, sophomore Jeffrey Borchert (Katy, Texas) finished at 19-over par 163 to place 34th, senior Devan Martin (Watson, La.) shot a 31-over par 175 to finish 43rd and tied with junior Tyler Jones (Stonewall, La.).

The Gents and host Eagles will be joined in the field by Belhaven University, Bethel University (MN), Carnegie Mellon University, Centre College, LaGrange College, Methodist University, Millsaps College, and Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The Gents' lineup will consist of Bennett, Snell, Borchert, Martin, and Jones.
