Bre Frierson Named To All-SCAC Third Team

Lawrenceville, Ga. – Centenary's Bre Frierson was named to the All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Third Team as the complete 2019-20 Women's Basketball Team was released on Saturday.

Frierson, a junior forward from Shreveport and former Evangel star, was named All-SCAC Third Team for the second-straight season after earned Honorable Mention honors as a freshman. She capped off a great individual season with 21 points and 12 rebounds in 23 minutes on Feb. 22 in the Ladies' dominant 22-point home victory over Dallas in theie regular-season finale at the Gold Dome. Frierson made nine of her 13 shot attempts from the floor, three of her four free throw attempts, and collected two assists and two steals.

She posted five double-doubles this season and finished the season averaging a team-best 12.1 points per game and 7.2 rebounds per game, second on the team. She played in 23 games with 16 starts. She ranks in the top 10 in the SCAC in points, rebounds, field goal percentage, and offensive rebounds.

Frierson was twice named the LSWA Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the Louisiana Sportswriters Association during the season.
