Pineville, La. – The Centenary-Louisiana College non-conference baseball game scheduled for earlier this evening at Billy Allgood Field at Legacy Stadium has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at 6 p.m. at Shehee Stadium in Shreveport on the Centenary campus.

The game, originally scheduled for Feb. 14 in Pineville, was rescheduled for Monday evening and then weather postponed it until this evening as next week will be the fourth attempt to play the game.

The Gents (9-4) were last week after finishing up a five-game road trip to California with a 10-7 non-conference victory over the University of La Verne Leopards in eight innings on March 1. Centenary finished 2-3 overall on the week-long trip, falling to Cal Lutheran and Occidental and splitting a doubleheader with Whittier before the win over La Verne. The Gents have scored double digits runs five times this season including twice on the recent road trip.

Centenary and Louisiana College (7-7) will be meeting for the third time this season next week. The teams split a doubleheader at Mayo Field in Shreveport back on Feb. 15 with the Gents taking game one, 3-1, and the Wildcats earning an 11-7 win in game two. LC defeated McMurry University by a score of 11-4 at home on Sunday.

The Gents and Wildcats will meet next month in Pineville as the teams square off on Wednesday, April 22 at 7:05 p.m.

The Gents open SCAC play at home March 13-14 against Trinity for a three-game series. A link to the complete 2020 schedule can be found here: www.gocentenary.com/sports/bsb/2019-20/schedule
