Baseball Announces Schedule Changes For SCAC Weekend Series Versus Trinity

Shreveport - The likelihood of rain on Friday in the Shreveport-Bossier area has forced some schedule changes to this weeken's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference baseball series between the Gents and Trinity University.

Friday evening's game has been moved to Sunday, March 15 at 1 p.m. and Saturday's doubleheader is still on as originally scheduled with first pitch of game one set for 1 p.m. with game two to follow at approximately 4 p.m. at Shehee Stadium.

Centenary's game scheduled for Tuesday evening at Louisiana College in Pineville was rained out and has been rescheduled for Tuesday, March 17 at 6 p.m. at Shehee Stadium. The game, originally scheduled for Feb. 14 in Pineville, was rescheduled for Monday evening and then weather postponed it until Tuesday evening as now next week will be the fourth attempt to play the game.

The Gents (9-4) were last week after finishing up a five-game road trip to California with a 10-7 non-conference victory over the University of La Verne Leopards in eight innings on March 1. Centenary finished 2-3 overall on the week-long trip, falling to Cal Lutheran and Occidental and splitting a doubleheader with Whittier before the win over La Verne. The Gents have scored double digits runs five times this season including twice on the recent road trip.
