The Gents (1-4-5, 0-1 SCAC) are coming off of a 3-0 loss at Colorado College last Sunday in their conference opener, suffering their first loss since mid-September after earning four-consecutive ties prior to the loss to the Tigers. Texas Lutheran enters Friday's match at 5-3-3 overall and 1-1 in SCAC play. The Bulldogs lead the all-time series, 13-2-1.

Centenary has set the record for most ties in a season in the division III era (2011-present) which had previously been three. The Maroon and White finished in scoreless ties against Sul Ross State (Sept. 3) and ETBU (Sept. 16) and also tied LeTourneau, McMurry, and Texas-Dallas.

Senior MF Jaron Petreas (Denton, Texas) is the Gents' offensive leader as he is in the midst of a stellar campaign with a team-leading five goals, four assists, and 14 points. He currently leads the conference in assists, ranks second in points, and fourth in both goals and shots. He is among the career leaders in the D3 era in goals (10), assists (5), and points (25) and has a pair of game-winning goals in his impressive career.

Sophomore F Ron Masti (Houston, Texas) and freshman F Aaron Myers (Plano, Texas) are tied for second on the team in goals with three each and sophomore MF Brennan Amato (Denham Springs, La.) is second on the team in assists with two.

Gents' senior goalkeeper Sami Borchalli (Lafayette, La.) made a season-high nine saves in his 90 minutes on Sunday and his 37 saves this season currently ranks fourth in the conference. Borchalli is the D3-era all-time leader in career shutouts with 14.

Centenary will have to contend with TLU's Luis Green, the leading goal-scorer in the conference this season with 10. Senior GK Caleb Weed, one of the top goalies in the SCAC, leads the league in goals against average (0.53) and ranks eighth in saves (16) and has recorded six shutouts.
