The Gents (1-6-5, 0-3 SCAC) will be playing on their home field for the first time since Sept. 18 after five straight on the road. Centenary was blanked 2-0 on Sunday afternoon by the Southwestern University Pirates in Georgetown, Texas after falling 5-0 last Friday to the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs in Seguin, Texas. Dallas enters Friday's match at 2-7-2 overall and is also 0-3 in league play.
Gents' senior goalkeeper Sami Borchalli (Lafayette, La.) started and played all 90 minutes versus Southwestern as he allowed both goals and made five saves after recording three saves against TLU. He currently ranks fifth in the conference this season in saves with 45.
Senior MF Jaron Petreas (Denton, Texas) is the Gents' offensive leader as he is in the midst of an outstanding season with a team-leading five goals, four assists, and 14 points. He is currently tied for third in the conference in assists and points, and is tied for fourth in goals. He is among the career leaders in the D3 era in program history in goals (10), assists (5), and points (25) and has a pair of game-winning goals in his impressive career.
Sophomore F Ron Masti (Houston, Texas) and freshman F Aaron Myers (Plano, Texas) are tied for second on the team in goals with three each and sophomore MF Brennan Amato (Denham Springs, La.) is second on the team in assists with two.
The Gents will face Austin College on Sunday at Noon on a special afternoon at Mayo Field as it is "Alumni Day" and the 2020-21 SCAC Championship team will be recognized before the match and a banner will be presented and hung at Mayo Field.
