Seguin, Texas - The Centenary men's soccer team fell 5-0 on Friday night to the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at Gustafson Field.

The Gents (1-5-5, 0-2 SCAC) lost their second-consecutive match after a string of four ties while the Bulldogs improved to 6-3-3 overall and 2-1 in SCAC play. Centenary was back in action after a 3-0 loss at Colorado College on Oct. 2 and is in the midst of its longest road trip of the season which will end on Sunday at Southwestern.

The Bulldogs scored four first-half goals and added a late goal in the waning minutes of the match to cruise to the win. Luis Green, the leading goal-scorer in the conference this season, continued his scoring barrage with his 11th and 12th goals on Friday. TLU out-shot Centenary 22-5 and took 11 corner kicks to the Gents' four. The Bulldogs were whistled for 19 fouls while the Gents had just six.

Gents' senior goalkeeper Sami Borchalli (Lafayette, La.) started and played 74:56 before being replaced by freshman GK Antonio Rubio (Richmond, Texas) for the final 15:04. Borchalli allowed four goals and made three saves while the rookie Rubio, in his second appearance of the season, made one save and allowed one goal. Caleb Weed started in goal for the Bulldogs and made two saves in the first half and Noel Pena took over for the final 45 minutes and did not record a save.

Jorge Ugaz scored the Bulldogs' first goal of the match in the fourth minute, assisted by Erick Lopez. Just over two minutes later, Louis Hart found the net with the assist from Green. He (Green) then scored his first goal in the 19th minute, an unassisted score, and he then assisted Gavin Edwards in the 31st minute. Green's second goal, an unassisted one and the Bulldogs' final one of the night, came in the 86th minute.

The Gents face the Southwestern University Pirates (4-4-2, 2-1 SCAC) on Sunday in Georgetown, Texas in a conference contest set for 1 p.m. The Pirates blanked St. Thomas at home 1-0 on Friday.
