Ladies Blanked In Home Opener By LeTourneau, 2-0

Shreveport - The Centenary women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the LeTourneau University YellowJackets on Saturday in a non-conference contest and the Ladies' home opener at Atkins Field.

The Ladies (0-4-1) and YellowJackets (1-5-1) were meeting for the 13^th time as LeTourneau now holds an 8-5 edge in the all-time series. The YellowJackets scored both of their goals in the first half and their defense made it stand up for the final 45 minutes to seal the win.

Chanel Kemball-Cook scored in the seventh minute off an assist from Gabriella Sanchez to make it 1-0 and in the 43^rd minute, Michelle Olivas found the net with Camila Andrade assisting for a 2-0 lead.

Centenary sophomore GK/MF Zoe Keller (Waggaman, La.) went the distance for the Ladies in goal and recorded seven saves in her 90 minutes. Keller has made seven or more saves in three-straight matches. Kelauna Cruz played all 90 minutes in goal for the YellowJackets and made two saves.

LeTourneau finished with a 15-9 advantage in shots and took six corner kicks to Centenary's five. The YellowJackets were whistled for nine fouls while the Ladies picked up three. There were no yellow cards issued to either team in the match.

The Ladies must regroup quickly as they will face Wiley University (1-5) on Sunday at 4 p.m. in another non-conference match at Atkins Field.
