Kerrville, Texas - The Centenary women's soccer team fell 1-0 on Friday to the Schreiner University Mountaineers in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contest at Mountaineer Soccer Field.
The Ladies (3-12-2, 1-8-0 SCAC) lost their eighth match in a row and dropped to 0-8-2 on the road. The Mountaineers (4-11-1, 3-6-0 SCAC) improved to 2-5-1 at home.
The teams battled to a scoreless tie until the 70th minute when Katelyn Boyd converted a penalty kick and that goal held for the final 20 minutes.
Sophomore GK/MF Zoe Keller (Waggaman, La.) played all 90 minutes and recorded one save. Schreiner GK Jayden Ford also went the distance and recorded the shutout while not making a save.
The Ladies will complete their regular season on Sunday with another conference match against Trinity University in San Antonio.
