Shreveport- The Centenary women's soccer team was blanked 2-0 on Friday night by Concordia University in a Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference match at Atkins Field.
The Ladies (3-8-2, 1-4 SCAC) fell to 3-3 at home this season while the Tornados improved to 5-6-2 overall and 3-1-1 in SCAC play. Concordia improved to 1-3-2 on the road with the win.
Sophomore GK Kaniyah Hill (Tyler, Texas) was busy in the net for the Ladies as she played all 90 minutes and recorded a season and career-high 12 saves as the Tornados finished with a 25-1 advantage in shots and had 14 shots on goal. Concordia GK Sheridan Habeeb also went the distance in goal and made one save.
Patricia Heckendorn scored her sixth goal of the season as she broke the ice in the 23rd minute with an unassisted goal as Concordia took a 1-0 lead at halftime. Lorian Lopez then found the net for the second time this season, scoring an unassisted goal in the 68th minute to make it 2-0.
The Ladies wrap up their home weekend on Sunday as they face McMurry University at 2 p.m.
