Shreveport - The Centenary men's basketball team returns to its home court on Tuesday evening as the Gents will face the Millsaps College Majors in a non-conference contest set for 6 p.m. at the Gold Dome.

The Gents (4-5) opened Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play on the road last weekend as they went 1-1, falling to Austin College on Friday night by a score of 74-65 and rebounding with a 91-87 win at Dallas on Saturday. The Majors (2-7) beat Birmingham-Southern College at home on Sunday by a score of 84-69. The teams will meet for the second time this season after the Maroon and White dropped a 75-62 to the Majors in Jackson, Miss. on Nov. 26.

Centenary is 2-0 at home this season, has won 37 of its last 45 home games and the Maroon and White are 13-2 in their last 15 games at the Gold Dome. The Gents snapped a four-game losing streak with their win at Dallas on Saturday and aim to even the season series with Millsaps with a win on Tuesday.

The Gents are averaging 76.2 PPG this season and shooting 40.2 % from the floor. Centenary shoots 32.6 % from beyond the arc, 71.0 % from the free throw line, and averages 32.9 rebounds/game and 11.8 assists/game. The Gents' 91 points on Saturday against the Crusaders are a season high and marks the fourth time this season that they have scored 89+ points in a game.

Thomas is currently second in the conference in scoring and tied for fifth in rebounding. He scored a career-high 34 points in the win at Dallas on Saturday as he has now reached double figures in all nine games this season. Thomas scored 30 or more points for the first time in his career, scored 20+ for the fifth time this season and scored in double figures for the 32nd time in his last 35 games.

He was 9-13 from the floor, 3-4 from beyond the arc, and 13-16 from the free throw line in 35 minutes of action with six rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots, and a steal. His previous career high in points was 26 against Colorado College last season at home. He averaged 25.3 PPG in the Gents' three games last week while shooting 52.5 % from the floor and averaging 32.3/minutes per game.

Junior F Jakobi Greenleaf (Houston, Texas) is second on the team in scoring at 9.8 PPG and averages 5.7 rebounds/game and shoots 52.2 % from the floor. He has reached double figures five times this season with a season-best 21 against Arlington Baptist at home on Nov. 20. Five Gents – Wilkerson, senior G Jalen Behr (Athens, Ga.), sophomore G Quentin Beverly (Katy, Texas), sophomore G Dalyn Davis (Natchitoches, La.), and senior G AJ Hall (Thibodaux, La.) all average 6.7 PPG or better.

The Gents will return to league play next Tuesday with a road contest against the University of St. Thomas in Houston on Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
