Maroon and White Triathlon and Swimming announce 2017-18 Schedules

SHREVEPORT, La. - Centenary swimming and triathlon announced their 2017-18 schedules on Monday, August 7.

Triathlon is scheduled to take part in all three qualifiers: the Central Region competition in Naperville, Illinois, on September 4 and the East Regional Qualifier in Sarasota, Florida, October 7. They will also compete against West Alabama in Laurel, Mississippi, for the second-straight year.

Qualifying for the National Championships in the first year of competition in 2016, should the Ladies accomplish this feat again, the Championships will be contested November 5 in Tempe, Arizona.

Meanwhile, Ladies and Gents swimming will begin the season for the second-straight year in September. Centenary will contest a pair of duals against both Ouachita Baptist and the University of the Ozarks both September 22 and the 23rd in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.

After opening home competition with a dual against Hendrix October 5 at the Fitness Center, the Maroon and White will travel to the heart of Texas with duals against Trinity (October 20) and Southwestern (October 21). The teams will take the month of November off, and finish the 2017 portion of the schedule at the Hendrix Invite December 1-2.

The Ladies and Gents take their annual trip to Sherman, Texas, for the annual Austin College Invitational January 6. The 'Roos make the return trip to Shreveport for Senior Day January 20.

The 2018 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming Championships will be contested February 14-17 in Southlake, Texas, at the Carroll I.S.D. Aquatics Center.
